Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), or Ordo Initiationis Christianae Adultorum, is a process developed by the Catholic Church for its catechumenate for prospective converts to the Catholic faith above the age of infant baptism. Candidates are gradually introduced to aspects of Catholic beliefs and practices. The basic process applies to adults and children who have reached catechetical age.

If you or someone you know is not fully initiated in the Catholic Church (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation), or a family member or friend has questions about becoming a Catholic, please contact Deacon Bob Dooley via email or call 609-287-9205.
